Passive RFID tags are basically grouped into three types determined by the frequency range.
Low Frequency (LF), High Frequency (HF) and Ultra-High frequency (UHF).
Passive RFID tags have no internal power, instead it uses the reader’s radio wave energy to send its stored information to the reader.
Battery-Powered Passive RFID tags (BAP) are embedded with small batteries that power the relay of information back to the reader.
Looking for robust tamper-resistant UHF RFID tag for security use in harsh environments? The clear, injection molded enclosure is made from Tritan amorphous copolyester for toughness, hydrolytic stability, and resistance to heat and chemicals. Sealed inside the TRITAN tag is the Avery Dennison Smartrac Mini-Web UHF UCode 9 inlay with optional barcode and human readable tag ID. The TRITAN tag can be used as a hang tag, or mount flush to assets. TRITAN tags are configured with text and/or barcode based on the application.
